It is free to sign up to use the help forum at wordpress.org. This is where you can either search for a specific answer or browse relevant topics to get ideas. Imagine a bulletin board where people put up a note with a question and someone else comes along and adds a note with an answer. Perhaps several people add answers and even discuss these answers.
To use the forum at wordpress.org click on the forums tab and you’ll see a list of topics. Take a look to see how they are organized so you are familiar with the system. To make it easy to jump over to wordpress.org forums you can save the link in your bookmarks or favorites.
To narrow down your search for help click on a topic related to your issue and you’ll see the related topics. Keep niching it down to get closer to your specific topic or issue.
There will be a search box for you to enter key search words. There will also be a tag or keyword cloud where you can click on related words. You can also type your question or keywords into a google search box and search the whole internet. But when you do this you will often land right in the wordpress.org support forum.
You can type a question in the forum and check back later for an answer.
View the questions and answers that others have already asked and answered.
You may not need to post a question if it’s already been answered. But if you don’t see what you need go ahead and post your question. Then check back in a while to see if someone has answered it.
